8" wide straight-line stencil, 82" x 13.25" - parking lots, garages, and roadway marking

Overview

The 8" straight-line stencil is a plastic marking tool for painting continuous lines on pavement. At 82" long x 13.25" wide, it spans most standard parking spaces and road markings in a single placement, letting crews paint stopping zones, lane dividers, and boundary lines with consistent width and alignment.

Made of LDPE plastic, the stencil flexes to release dried paint after application — simply bend it to break the bond and peel the paint off (water-based paints only). Suitable for parking lots, garages, and roadways where precise, repeatable lines are needed.

Primary Applications

  • Parking lots: Paint stopping zones, space dividers, and directional lines with consistent 8" width.
  • Garage floors: Mark driving lanes, reserved spaces, and safety boundaries.
  • Roadways: Create uniform edge lines, stopping lines, and lane markings.
  • Multi-lot maintenance: Use the same stencil size across all locations for uniform, professional appearance.

FAQ & Care

How wide is the line it paints?
8 inches wide. The stencil itself is 82" long x 13.25" wide, so it covers most of a standard parking space in one application.
What paint should I use?
Any water-based or latex parking lot paint works with this stencil. Water-based paint can be peeled off by flexing the stencil after it dries; oil-based paints do not release this way.
How do I remove the stencil after painting?
Once the water-based paint is dry, flex the stencil to break the bond between paint and plastic, then peel the paint off. For oil-based paints, remove the stencil while paint is wet or let it cure and scrape off paint residue separately.
Can I use a brush, roller, or spray?
Yes. The stencil works with brush, roller, spray, or any standard marking application method.
Do you offer stencils in other line widths or for custom layouts?
Custom line widths, lengths, and multi-stencil configurations are available direct from the manufacturer. Contact us to discuss your lot size and marking plan.

A line stencil is a tool used to create straight and accurate lines in various applications, such as painting, pavement marking, crafting, or home improvement projects. Line stencils come in different shapes and sizes to suit different purposes. They can be used for a wide range of applications, such as marking boundaries, creating borders, or aligning elements in artwork or graphic design.

They are useful for adding decorative elements, creating flow or movement in artwork, or marking curved edges in landscaping or pavement projects. Using a line stencil is relatively straightforward. The stencil is typically positioned on the surface where the line is to be created, and paint or marking material is applied over the cut-out areas using a brush, roller, spray, or any suitable application method.

Once the paint dries, the stencil is removed, leaving behind a clear and precise line. Line stencils provide several benefits, including precision. Line stencils help ensure accuracy and consistency in creating straight or curved lines, eliminating the need for freehand drawing or measuring tools.

Using line stencils can save time by quickly and easily creating multiple lines without the need for repetitive measuring or marking.
