BUMP reusable LDPE stencil - available in 12" and 24" - flex-and-peel cleanup

Overview

The BUMP stencil is a reusable LDPE marking template offered in 2 sizes: 12" and 24". Thickness: 0.060" (1.5 mm) and 0.118" (3 mm). Each size is a separate variant on this page with its own price, so confirm the size against your layout before ordering.

Lay the stencil flat, spray or brush paint through the cutout, then flex the plastic to break the paint bond and peel the dried paint away - no scraping and no solvents (oil-based paints do not release this way). It rolls for compact storage and stands up to repeated outdoor use, which makes it a lower-cost alternative to permanent signage across multi-site facilities.

Primary Applications

  • Parking lots: Mark speed bump locations with advance warning text.
  • Roadways and driveways: Direct traffic and alert drivers to raised road sections.
  • Walkways: Identify pavement hazards and traffic calming zones.
  • Multi-site standardization: Use the same stencil across all parking areas and properties for consistent, repeatable markings.

FAQ & Care

What sizes does this BUMP stencil come in?
This stencil is offered in 12" and 24". Select the size you need from the variant selector - pricing differs by size. Thickness: 0.060" (1.5 mm) and 0.118" (3 mm).
What is the difference between the two thicknesses?
The 0.060" (1.5 mm) gauge is the standard reusable weight and is easier to roll and carry. The 0.118" (3 mm) gauge is heavier, lies flatter on rough pavement, and holds up longer on high-repetition jobs. Both are LDPE and both clean the same way.
What surfaces and paints does it work with?
The stencil works on asphalt, concrete, blacktop, and sealed floors. Water-based and latex paints release cleanly when the stencil is flexed; oil-based paints do not peel and will require scraping.
How many times can it be reused?
The stencil is built for repeated use. After each application, flex the plastic to break the paint bond, peel the dried paint away, and store it rolled. Weather-resistant LDPE holds up across many marking cycles outdoors.
Can we order several sizes for a multi-site rollout?
Bulk and mixed-size orders ship direct from the manufacturer, so facilities standardizing markings across multiple lots, warehouses, or campuses can order every size they need on one purchase order. Custom stencil text and sizes are also produced in-house.

A bump roadway stencil is a visual marking used to alert drivers to the presence of a speed bump or a raised portion of the road. It typically consists the word bump written in bold, capitalized letters, often in a bright color like yellow or white, painted directly onto the roadway surface.

These stencils are strategically placed on the road surface before the location of the speed bump to provide advance warning to drivers. The purpose of a bump roadway stencil is to notify motorists to slow down and proceed with caution due to the upcoming raised section of the road.

By providing this visual cue, the stencil aims to enhance road safety by alerting drivers to reduce their speed, preventing sudden jolts or discomfort when crossing over the speed bump, and minimizing the risk of vehicle damage or accidents caused by sudden encounters with these road features.
